AVIA Pig Breeding / Finishing Meal

One Feed. Two Important Applications.

AVIA Breeding / Finishing Meal is developed for pigs from approximately 20 weeks onward, including animals being taken to market weight and mature animals maintained for breeding. The feed provides balanced energy, protein, fibre and micronutrients to support efficient finishing while helping breeding animals maintain appropriate body condition.

Feeding Guideline

AVIA Pig Breeding / Finishing Meal

For Finishing Pigs — Efficient Growth to Market Weight

  • Feed approximately 2–3 kg per pig per day, adjusting according to body weight, growth rate, target market weight, body condition and environmental conditions.
  • Feed intake should be monitored regularly and adjusted as the pig approaches the desired market weight.

For Breeding Gilts & Sows — Nutrition for Reproduction and Body Condition

  • Breeding animals require controlled feeding rather than unrestricted intake — sufficient nutrition for reproductive performance while preventing excessive body condition.
  • During gestation: feed approximately 2–2.5 kg per animal per day, adjusted according to body weight, parity and body condition.
  • During lactation: approximately 3–4 kg feed per sow per day + around 200 g additional feed for each nursing piglet, adjusted to litter size, sow body condition and appetite.
  • Clean drinking water must remain freely available, particularly during lactation when water demand increases markedly.

For Breeding Boars

  • Maintain breeding boars on controlled feeding appropriate to their body weight, activity and condition.
  • As a practical starting point, approximately 2.5 kg feed per day may be offered and adjusted to maintain healthy body condition without excessive fat deposition.
